NORTH SOMERSET CONSERVATIVES BUSINESS CLUB

The North Somerset Conservatives Business Club (NSCBC) was established by Woodspring Conservative Association last year, with the following objectives:

  • To provide local businesses with cost-effective methods whereby they can promote themselves, via mailshots and events which NSCBC will organise.
  • To provide local businesses with means whereby they can learn about relevant and topical issues that affect their business operations.
  • To provide local businesses with a forum whereby they can discuss topical business issues, whether they be local or national in nature.
  • To provide local businesses with the opportunity to lobby their elected Council and Parliamentary representatives on topical business issues, local or otherwise.

In general, events are held at the brand new 4 star Cadbury House Hotel, Frost Hill, Congresbury and take the form of a sumptuous business breakfast. To date and including the launch event held last September, five successful events have been held.

Bristol International Airport will be sponsoring our next event on Friday 12th December 2008, from 7.00am, and their topic for the event will be:

“The development and enhancement of Bristol International Airport

Bristol International recently unveiled the first images of its proposed development, and will soon be consulting on detailed plans to develop and enhance facilities for passengers.  Chief Executive Officer, Robert Sinclair, will explain the airport’s vision and why it is good news for local business.

Robert will also draw on his experiences at Auckland Airport in New Zealand to demonstrate how a successful airport can be a source of regional pride, as well as forming favourable first impressions with international visitors to the area it serves.
